Privacy Policy

TweetMint ("we", "our", "us") operates the TweetMint Chrome extension and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
• Display name — shown in the extension interface
• Password — stored as a one-way hash (bcrypt); we never store or see your plaintext password

Twitter/X Profile Data

When you complete onboarding, we process:

• Your Twitter/X handle — used to fetch your public tweets for voice analysis
• Your public tweets — analyzed to build your writing style profile. We process the text content of your recent public tweets through our AI service to understand your tone, vocabulary, and writing patterns.
• Your profile picture URL — displayed in the extension interface

Voice Profile

We generate and store a "voice profile" — a structured summary of your writing style, including detected tones, vocabulary patterns, and learned rules. This profile is used solely to generate replies and posts that match your personal style.

Usage Data

We track daily usage counts (number of replies and posts generated) to enforce free-tier limits. This data is stored with a 48-hour expiry and is automatically deleted.

Files You Upload

If you choose to upload context files (e.g., writing samples, brand guidelines), these files are stored in association with your account and used to refine your voice profile.

2. How We Use Your Information

• AI Content Generation — Your voice profile and any uploaded context are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate replies and posts in your writing style.
• Image Analysis — When you reply to tweets containing images, those images may be sent to AWS Rekognition for visual understanding.
• Authentication — Your email and password hash are used to verify your identity and manage your session.
• Service Improvement — Usage data helps us understand how the product is used and plan capacity.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide TweetMint:

• Cloudflare Workers — Our backend infrastructure. Data is processed at the edge. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — Processes your voice profile and tweet content to generate AI-written text. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• Amazon Web Services (Rekognition) — Processes tweet images for visual context when generating replies. AWS Privacy Policy
• twitterapi.io — Used to fetch your public tweets and profile information during onboarding.

4. Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored in Cloudflare KV, a globally distributed key-value store.
• Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (10 rounds) — we never store plaintext passwords.
• Authentication uses JWT tokens with 7-day expiry and rotating refresh tokens.
• All API communication is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
• We implement rate limiting, request size guards, and security headers to protect against abuse.

5. Data Retention

• Account data — retained for the lifetime of your account
• Voice profile — retained until you delete your account or re-run onboarding
• Usage data — automatically deleted after 48 hours
• Rate limit data — automatically deleted after 15 minutes
• Refresh tokens — automatically deleted after 30 days

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — your voice profile and settings are visible in the extension
• Delete your account and all associated data — contact us at the email below
• Export your voice profile data
• Modify your voice profile by re-running the onboarding process

7. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your browsing history
• We do not read your DMs or private tweets
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising
• We do not track you across websites

8. Children's Privacy

TweetMint is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the extension interface. Continued use of TweetMint after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
